MagicLamp Software Attends AIIM & IBM Virtual RPA Event
For those of you that may have missed it, MagicLamp was honored to be a part of a virtual RPA event hosted by AIIM and IBM entitled ‘Changing How Work Gets Done: New Intelligent Automation Tools for a Dynamic Digital World’.
The half-day event was full of great information from presenters that really knew their stuff. AIIM presented on Change How Work Gets Done. In the early segment, the IBM team presented three sessions: a process-mining tool that helps show bottlenecks in a process, Automation Document Processing, and a session on Workflow Management using BAI Dashboards finished off the series.
The afternoon session began with a keynote from IBM about How to Become an Automation Achiever. Salient presented a Discovery tool that helps calculate the cost of RPA. IBM rounded the day off with two great presentations on Digital Decisions and Automation Center of Excellence.
MagicLamp presented the value of moving data from two disconnected systems. I demoed moving healthcare data from one system to another and, though not connected, the data was very valuable and it allowed the second to make better decisions. Before implementing RPA, I use to move this data manually myself.
No event is complete without some entertainment and this was provided by recording artist Devon Gilfillian. What a great event and if you did miss it and are an AIIM member, you can see it from their website. Otherwise, stay tuned for upcoming events hosted from both AIIM and IBM.
For those of you interested in RPA, let’s start with defining what RPA is.
Q. What is Robotic Process Automation (RPA)?
A. RPA is the use of software bots to automate repetitive, routine tasks performed by knowledge workers. RPA ‘bots’ replicate the actions of humans interacting with application user interfaces.
